Born of Uncertain Purpose

Subject 223-R after being seized by the Empire, incubating in a clone development stasis lab.
An Imperial strike team, operating under the guise of an expedition and research team in league with the IRS (Imperial Reclamation Service) to the general public, was tasked with the investigation and elimination of a cult-like organization based out of the previously unknown tomb of an unnamed ancient Sith Lord. The team was instructed to infiltrate the base of operations, exterminate the cultists, and seize any valuable resources or artifacts that may prove useful to the Empire and its efforts.

The yield of the mission was tremendous, not only was a plot to overthrow the Empire foiled, but a most valuable asset was recovered in the process: the clone, Subject 223-R. Engineered as the perfect vessel for the containment of an ancient consciousness, 223-R is one of the few known cloning efforts that produced moderate success in the cloning of a Force sensitive person. Prior attempts on record by the Empire all failed, producing deranged, dysfunctional beings that had no control over their Force powers and suffered from crippling mental and physical defects.

Subject 223-R finished its gestation period under Imperial supervision; upon “birth” he possessed a body matured at the equivalent of an eighteen year old human and had false memories, as well as an identity, instilled by the team overseeing the project. 223-R displayed great affinity for the force and cognitive functions, obvious personality bleed and defects were absent, overall the process was deemed a success. The Empire monitored 223-R for a few years, they watched for signs of Clone Madness to present- in the event of this happening they would recall the asset and neutralize him before he could establish himself within the Empire.

The identity of Subject 223-R was chosen in accordance to a DNA analysis that resulted in a match with the Syn’Râh bloodline, a noble Sith clan that originated on Ziost. Relatives of 223-R remain estrange to the clone, his origins, and his relation to them. After several months of containment and conditioning, 223-R, deemed Kaoloth Râhûlt Syn'Râh was released to the Sith Academy on Korriban.
