I am usually not a drawing person. But trying to make an RPG campaign setting inspired me to at least try some sketching, and it didn't go 100% terribly! They're still fairly crap but I am actually satisfied, or at least I don't feel like scrapping everything which is basically close enough.

I might branch out into GW2 and SWTOR portraits, mostly the latter because I always wanted to draw Sith and Imperials. For now it's just generic space fantasy stuff tho.

edit: I updated some of these a while back with better shading or whatever so i'll put the new ones next to the old ones.

Mantle Sub-Officer

The primary military force of the Immortal Dominion of Sol is the Mantle, a highly trained professional army with strict physical standards and high-tech gear. They are split into the Order of the Navy and the Order of the Army, both having a rigid hierarchy and being subordinate to the Dominion's central church.

The standard attire of an army sub-officer is a suit of Auspice Armour, made of curved adamantine plates and an arasilk suit to provide effective protection against shrapnel or light particle beam fire. As sub-officers do not have a dress uniform, their armour tends to fill the same role as formal attire instead of being purely functional.

Alessian Librarian

Valoran Librarian

Librarians are servants of the Dominion's two goddesses, chosen from extremely powerful mages and enhanced by divine magic to become nearly immortal beings of incredible power. They are rare, however, and tend to live in secluded monasteries where they study without interference from the outside world.

Roleplay Workshop / Pub-side spy roleplay?
« on: 09/21/17, 09:51:14 AM »
Has there ever been any sort of SIS-themed RP on this server? I know that there used to be a ton of edgy imperial intelligence agents but i've never seen anything with their Republic counterparts.

If not, would people be interested in trying to organize some?

Also, what about law enforcement stuff like the Coruscant Security Force? That could easily tie in to counter-espionage and such, plus it sounds fun.

The Trading Floor / WTT for Uniform Deep Blue dyes
« on: 08/11/17, 06:02:26 PM »
I'd like to trade some items (no credits because preferred status) for multiple Uniform Deep Blue dyes. I can buy stuff from the cartel market or whatever, I also have some other things that are less valuable like old dyes and a few pieces of armour.

The Trading Floor / WTB Medium Red and Dark Grey dye
« on: 07/23/17, 02:27:39 PM »
Preferably at a reasonable price, because i'm not paying 5 million for a dye. :P

Hi, i'd like to buy one T4-1D companion and multiples of the Mark I customization for it. The customizations cost 10 jawa junk each from a vendor in the Cartel Bazaar.

I can pay/trade with whatever option works best, though credits will be difficult since I can't actually access them myself. Right now it would be most convenient for me to trade using items from the cartel market, assuming nobody minds waiting two days.

Roleplay Workshop / Underworld RP, which side has more?
« on: 06/18/17, 05:51:12 PM »
I am looking to get back into underworld-type roleplay (Exchange, Hutt Cartel, smuggling, slavers, pirates, etc.) but I would like to know which side has more of it? I don't want to make my character then find out that everyone is on the other side.

I know the Empire used to have a big community but I haven't seen any of it in a year or two. Is that still a thing?

Classifieds / WTB military-themed RP not on Iokath.
« on: 05/24/17, 03:26:45 PM »
I don't have access to Iokath or even most of the KOTFE/KOTET planets but I would really like to do some heavily military-oriented RP on either faction. Preferably fighting against the opposite faction because that's how you get a right proper scrap. I have special forces, average soldiers, officers, and spies, so pretty much anything goes.

A squad or fireteam would be neat to make. I will soon have an unused character slot to use if none of my current ones fit.

I'm not really looking for a guild though because large numbers of people make me anxious. I can handle maybe six people at most, but three would be more convenient because of party size limits.

And no I am not actually buying RP. If you're O-3 or above, you already get paid enough.

Storyboards / Senate Library (Worldbuilding)
« on: 05/11/17, 05:30:10 PM »
((I had an idea to make a thread for worldbuilding information on really really minor items that aren't important enough to warrant a holonet page of their own. This means stuff like blasters, tanks, armour sets, etc that are interesting to think about but aren't necessarily important unless you play a Ministry of Logistics character or do really in-depth wargames. And of course, this is really just an opinion on how this stuff might work, so don't feel like anything here is canon or whatever.

This one specifically is based on WWII-era Intelligence Bulletins, intended to inform troops on what the germans were doing and how. Feel free to add your own things.))

SENATE LIBRARY
STRATEGIC INFORMATION SERVICE
REPUBLIC INTELLIGENCE BULLETIN:
NEW IMPERIAL MEDIUM TANK

The Sith Empire has been fielding a new medium tank in recent months, most notably on the battlefields of Saleucami and Sernpidal where it has proven to be extremely functional in their harsh environments. The most notable differences between this new "Devastator" tank and the much older E-95 are mainly in armour and design, being much sleeker and making more effective use of sloped armour. It does not seem to be intended as a replacement for previous medium tanks, as its predecessors continue to be fielded in large numbers within Imperial armoured divisions.
The main hull of the Devastator is about 5 meters long and 2 wide, though this is extended to 6 long and 4 wide with the armoured skirts and turret. They are reported as being relatively slow in combat, which is backed up by testing done on a captured vehicle showing their max speed to be roughly 90 km/h. The crew consists of a driver (front left), gunner (front right), and commander (middle).

The turret primarily houses a heavy laser cannon based on the HLC-14 and various sensors to aid the gunner. Some have been seen with a coaxial VL-22 repeater to the right of the cannon. One interesting thing of note is that the turret is a major shot trap, especially when confronted with projectile weapons. The commander has access to a swing-mounted VL-22, though it seems to be concealed inside of their hatch until opened so measures cannot be taken to prematurely disable it. Additionally, one multi-use smoke generator/projector is fitted on each side of the tank.

The tank is heavily armoured from all angles, including the top and sides. The hull's low profile and sloped armour makes landing effective shots even more difficult from the front and side, so attacking from above or behind is highly recommended. Its side skirts are made of hardened titanium and durasteel. The tank's hull has extra reinforcement on the front, possibly used as a ram to open up holes in walls and buildings for supporting infantry.

Standard anti-tank tactics seem to be effective in combating Devastators. The turret ring is fairly exposed and serves as a major weak spot from all angles, the engines as well from the rear. A well-aimed shot from the front or rear may be able to remove its skirts, allowing easier access to the engine. Lighter weapons may be used to damage the tank's exterior systems, such as the commander's periscope and many of its sensors. One last thing of note is that shoulder-launched concussion missiles are unusually effective against the tank, especially when impacting from above.

The Trading Floor / WTB Imperial officer outfit
« on: 05/05/17, 07:58:57 AM »
There used to be super cheap ones on the GTN, they were moddable medium armour pieces that looked almost identical to the Clandestine Officer outfit. They had a full mantle instead of just shoulder pads and the mantle would stay a dark grey colour if you dyed it.

Here's an example: http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/td-06b-eliminator-imp/

I only need the chestplate. I would like to buy several if possible though just in case I need more in the future.

Roleplay Workshop / Slugthrower questions
« on: 04/25/17, 08:17:22 AM »
How viable are slugthrowers as a military tool right now? Do modern blasters always outdo them in firepower or does lead still have a chance outside of specialized applications? I'm specifically thinking of large-caliber weapons like heavy machine guns and anti-materiel rifles more than pistols and normal rifles, because I know those smaller ones can't stand up to a blaster of similar size.

I know Star Wars uses plenty of projectile weapons like grenade launchers, rockets and missiles, mortars, etc but those are on a larger scale than just plain old bullets. And I have seen slugthrowers used as specialized tools because they can be silenced, but then you don't get the dakka sounds so why bother?

edit: I already have one now but I can still trade for more because I really need to get rid of this stuff.

I'd like to trade some items for a level 60 character slot because I have no credits. Usually the tokens are worth between 10 and 20 million on the GTN, or 2000 cartel coins. Here's a list of stuff I have to offer.

The Trading Floor / Looking to buy a Secret Agent's Jacket
« on: 11/27/16, 01:49:34 PM »
http://torf.mmo-fashion.com/secret-agent/

If anyone has one, let me know how much you'd want for it.

I also have some stuff that I could trade with like Visas Marr's Lower Robes, Freedon Nadd's Helmet, an Elegant Loungewear Top, and some other stuff too but those are the most valuable ones as far as I know.

So these aren't particularly new or important or anything, just two minor annoyances with the site's stronghold listings.

You can't select Harrower or Valor (or just Flagship) for a location when making or editing a stronghold listing, and some characters (alt codes and accented letters) aren't accepted in the primary key holders field.

That's all I have to say I guess.

Media Gallery / Insignias
« on: 05/29/16, 04:17:54 PM »
I like to make insignias and emblems and such for guilds or organizations that i'm involved with. I wouldn't say i'm any good at it but I still feel like sharing some of them anyway.

Excuse the horizontally challenged formatting, I am bad with bbcode.

The Mark of Darth Vaal

12th Imperial Assault Wing

27th Imperial Airborne Division

Imperial Paladin Corps

I'd love to see more if anyone else has made some for their guild/organization/character.
