Hi folks,

I'm so excited about the Nightlife event :) Even though I started SWTOR a week after launch, I've generally never been subbed during the summers and have missed all of them. But I'm here now, and thanks to the wonderful folks on Reddit, I'm equipped to conquer it:

I spent 2,000,000 credits on 1,000 Smuggler tokens and was able to earn all new achievements and all new vendor items in about two hours.

I'm very happy to see this event return, especially with all the great prizes they added in this time around.  I am especially digging the awesome new decos.  I wonder if this was something that has always been intended by the dev team or if it was something that was spurned on by the new Director, Keith.  If it's the latter then I'm loving this guy more and more compared to his predecessor.

I sincerely hope this is the start of a positive trend for in-game events. It would be great for them to start adding new items to the Gree, Rakghoul and Bounty Hunter events as well, not to mention bringing back the Grand Acquisitions Race.  Never did understand why that became a one-time occurrence.

In case anyone doesn't know already, the new companion requires artifact equipment authorization. So any non-subs without the 1,200 cartel coin unlock are out of luck.



I really hope it's a bug. If there's any subs here, you should send a bug report or something to Bioware about it since I can't.

Not only that, several of the decos seem to have click interactions.

100 of those suckers have never killed the wallet faster than my need to have Jarael's outfit...

I spent about 100,000 credits so far in Smuggler's Coins for the basic slot machine. I played them in a set of four machines at once, and would win enough Kingpin Coins to play that machine. I haven't bought a single Kingpin's Coin. I won a few Golden Certificates on both, enough to buy the Kingpin's Blaster and the Bar deco.

There are a couple of pets and a speeder I want, so I may do it again, but after 30 minutes, this Old Man was falling asleep in front of the computer.

About 200 coin pulls... some of those bought kingpin coins until I figured it out =D.  So far over couple million spent until I realized my mistake! (Over 100 Kingpin slot pulls...I know cuz I got an acheivement.  ONly about 30 of those were paid for though!)

A big fat single ticket...a speeder mount I don't want.  A whole bunch of acheivements for all those coin pulls...

And a bunch of more coins.

And that's it.

RNG always hates me.  And this is a sorry @)(&% excuse for an event that's actually a coin sink.

But STUPID DECORATIONS ARE COOL!

Well this one I wouldn't put on Bioware. They did put in mechanics to be followed like almost all other aspects of play. You get the buff or you get coins from flashpoints and so on. Now I know it doesn't just cost coins. It also costs time, but that's also one of the ways to slow the generation of credits.

The economy is in bad shape. It is better to have to click for a long time than for those credit to hang around. Remember when bronze decorations were less than 350k? All those extra credits are why that's almost not a thing anymore.
