"Then it's time to take back our planet."

Cirsei Altaros stood in one of three trooper transports that sat in one of the hangars of the Wyvern, centered in front of the squad she happened to be riding with. Shouting "Let's go!" perhaps a bit too enthusiastically, she bangs on the door that led into the cockpit, and their campaign began.

Out of the Wyvern poured the transports along with their vanguard: a portion of Grey Squadron. This group of fighter pilots would be familiar to many in the Coalition, having been a primary offensive force in the assault on the Nar Shaddaa star fortress. While the remaining thirteen fighters in the squadron would be dedicated to the fight in space, these five now escorted Cirsei and her men to the surface.

As the ships twisted and turned to avoid lines of fire and pieces of debris, Cirsei spoke to her armor-clad men over the comm systems of all KJC ships, from transport to cruiser. "Listen up, boys! Some of you may not have been with us at the time, but we conquered the part of Tatooine that we came to call home when the Krayt's Jaw was young. Since then, this shitty ball of sand has served us; as a base of operations, as a hiding place, and as a home. And now it's time to repay Tatooine, soldiers; use what she gave us and kick these Zakuulan freaks into submission! No mercy!"

Cheers fired up all over the comms as the fire of atmospheric entry engulfed the transports and their escorts. A collective inertial wave across all of the soldiers in Cirsei's ship, and Tatooine was below them. In a few non-exciting minutes the transports find their way to a suitable drop-off zone just a few hundred meters off from the main Coalition force and the fighters break their formation, eager to get back into space.

One by one, an entire platoon of soldiers file out of the ships, instinctively taking formation around the armored crime lord. Once they're all out, the ships get into the air once again to find a safer spot to land.

Cirsei breathes in the air of Tatooine; it was an air she hadn't taken into her lungs in quite some time, and she was glad to be here; perhaps she was even happier that she got to fight for it.

Clicking her wrist-comm, she addresses Caben. "Krayt's Jaw is about to link up at your position. Hope you've got a welcoming party for us." And they marched on.

North of the shield generator, a ways from the forces gathered and gathering, a lone ship lowered towards the sand, sending a cloud of dust up into the air and the womp rats scurrying closer to the cliffs. The well-worn, non-descript ship, with scratched and scorched remains of markings that might once have been Imperial, set down between rising cliffs in a narrowing cul-de-sac. Five figures stepped out into the bright light of the suns, bearing identical armour, moving with an eerie synchronisation as they lined up, looking south, then looking up. Beneath red, black and silver spines and armour plates, the bodies seemed female. The five formed a circle in the shadow of the cliffs and sat on the warm sand. A passer-by would have thought them a statue, or monument of some sort, to some long forgotten Sith, oddly hidden in the sands, as they sat, immobile, even the soft rise and lowering of chests for breathing hard to detect.

Their stillness was momentarily interrupted as the five looked up, in unison, at the arcs of light crackling around the star fortress high above them. Their synchronised gazes turned towards the beam that came down, east of them, far enough to be of no risk, but close enough that within minutes they could feel the ripples of hot wind rushing into the canyon. Their gazes seemed to turn to each other and they returned to their former stillness.

Natsu'ryu leading to squads of Wraiths some former republic marines, specforce, and a few force users to the side of the shield bunker next to a hall near one of the armories in the bunker. He places a large breaching charge there and than places some thermal cutting tape at a square about nine feet across, and placed a lead from the charge to the tape. and waves every one back. The tape goes off first weakening the armor a bit then the breaching charge goes off blasted a large hole into the wall with most of the armored wall pieces flying in damages several skytroopers and giving a nice way in. He sends some to to secure the armory and leads the rest to the main reactor of the bunker to set up the satchel and demo charges to blow this place up. with an insane but pleased feral grin on his face he starts to blast every thing zakullan with his mando light repeater and throwing many grenades around to destroying any thing and every thing . He is doing this as the main force is attacking the front and the air cover is doing it job to make a nice distraction and if he failed which in not very likely to get the job done another way. out side those near the breach can  her Natsu'ryu's laughter and the explosions he is making, and any that where to fallow see the blasted and mangled remains of many skytroopers and some heaver combat droids. With the blasted open blast doors that where use to try and keep them out. The troops near Him do have an uneasy look on their faces but they know that it is better to be on his side than one of those he is going against.

((Posting a few replies to get my other characters into the action while Ichi'goo moved and begins work inside.  Feel free to continue some banter/shout-outs between action as you like, or just focus on your character's own personal fights.  I'm advancing the ground fight a bit too, but feel free to hop around on details/show your parts before responding to Caben's later charge))

@Hime_Storm Rughail grins as the cocky demolitionist takes off.  "Alright then, game on.  Your funeral- hope you can pay for it with what I plan to win!"

He smiles at the Sith playing her games with the Admiral, then sets about "protecting" the insane zabrak who in fact rushes ahead of his mercenary and trooper escorts at several points in his glee for destruction- though mostly only because shooting people in front of him steals the easiest kills!  The eyeless Mirulaka also appreciates his Forcesight of several nearby Tuskan tribal snipers, who radiate a glee for the hunt that mirrors his own- though he also senses some of their frustration at a lack of living targets.

"Here's hoping they'll send us some real meat soon, eh boys?" The garbled hooting was hard for him to make out, though seemed friendly or at least neutral enough to assume he didn't mistakenly insult anyone's mother.  Giving a bloodthirsty hoot to join their own, the Wraiths nick-named Reaper continues his grisly work, firing his disrupter so intensely that a literal line of molten slag lines Ichi'goo's path to the entrance- and possibly a SMALL chunk of a gang member or two who got a little too close to his killzone.  Eh, they've got plenty of extra limbs on 'em.
___________________________________________________________________________________

Caben chuckleed at his guards' reactions to @Karmic's arrival- most had been briefed on the presence of allied Sith but some of the troops were still green to the idea of such things, especially recent defectors.  He waved them into calm, then turned to face his old friend.

"Yeah, regulations are a bitch.  Perhaps a demonstration is in order, to prove to them I'm safer next to you?" He chuckles wryly, while also sending her a silent comm.  <<Sorry old friend, one of our few Force users-  need you at the vanguard for morale.  Clear a path past the main turrets if you can... once the heavy artillery is gone, Ill try and lead the reserves to join up with you and well see about that dance!>>

They are interrupted as the Argosy, Spector and Grey Squadrons come roaring in, and Caben looks to his comm.  "Alright folks, time to get this party started.  I'll save the speeches, know all of you have reason enough to be here.  Lets make some stories to tell over split casks later!"
____________________________________________________________________________________

Once the mercenary forces begin landing and engaging the enemy, Gorvan Kremmel roars, not wanting his homegrown forces to miss out on the opening charge.  The enormous battleworn Mantellan swings his heavy reapeater into firing mood with one hand, and pulls a massive battle-hammer off his back with the other, charging forward like some ancient barbarian king with his most trusted personal bounty hunters and freedom fighters forming a flying V into the heart of the enemy.  A swarm of Tuskans, militia and a VERY unstable looking Jawa battlewagon pour forward to his flanks, the latter sparking electricity in random directions and spouting fire from several rocket-exhausts driving all-terrain treds.

___________________________________________________________________________________

The initial wave of the battle is fierce but overwhelming to the droid defenders detriment, far larger than most covert forces seen against bunkers.  Suddenly the earth quakes, however as the first Star Fortress beam does its work, and an ominous mood falls over the battle.  Watching Karmic and the other's progress, Caben frowns, then looks at his guards.  "Alright boys, you've done a fine job keeping me safe.  But that blast was a turning point, and leadership needs to rally things rather than hope the next one misses.  Get me to Karmic and Gorvan and lets finish this."

With that, he leaps on his bike and is moving before they can protest, forcing his troopers to fall in behind on their own combat speeders.  As they are midway down the final slope, however suddenly a line of Zakuul lightsabers appear in the blasted-open doorway....

"Specter, fall back!"

"Don't have to tell me twice!"

The orbital strike had been enough to loosen the nerves of Thyssen and his team, but it was the appearance of the Knights that actually shook them. The last time that the ship had been in a situation where it was forced to square off against a Force-sensitive individual, it was nearly destroyed. There was no telling what an entire team of them would do. And so, with a loud whine of its engines, the transport veered away from its overwatch and big a hasty retreat from the area of operation.

Thyssen and his team immediately scattered back into the rocky outcropping, hoping to get as far away from the kill zone as possible. Of them, the man was only familiar with three, the rest (of which there were eight) had been handpicked from the ranks of the KJC's best and brightest footsoldiers. So far none of them had disappointed Thyssen, and he was hoping that things would keep going in such a way that he would be able to tell Cirsei than they never did. Speaking of Cirsei...

"Do we have an ETA on Her Majesty?" Thyssen rasped into his comm. He was still feeling winded from the shock of seeing the Knights show up out of the gloom, like personifications of death itself. One of the volunteers responded. "No way to tell, boss. That blast scrambled our long range communications equipment." Hearing this made Thyssen swear, loudly. "Alright," he said. "As much as I hate to admit it, we're not in any position to do anything until reinforcements show up." Almost as though he wanted to emphasize this point, he took aim at one of the Knights and squeezed off a shot. As it was already otherwise engaged, it only had enough awareness to deflect the shot back in Thyssen's general direction. But even that blind reflex was almost spot-on, and resulted in the chunk of rock next to the Wolf of Rishi's head shattering!

"Scat! Gabriel? Gabriel, can you hear me? If you can, you and the others need to fall back from the bunker and regroup! None of you are going to do anyone any good if you wind up gettin' butchered like nerfs!"

Several miles away...

The escape pod sunk into the sand with an audible wumph! and sent a cloud of it flying a good twenty-plus feet into the air. It still radiated smoke and steam from its harsh entry into the planet's atmosphere, but otherwise seemed no worse for wear. Almost a full minute would pass before any sign of life would present itself from the pod. As the door had been rendered unusable due to angle in which the pod fell, the occupants had to get creative in their means of seeking freedom from its cramped confines.

With a familiar snap-hiss and the groan of warping metal, two cyan-colored lightsaber blades stuck themselves through the hull of the pod from the inside and began carving an exit. When some semblance of a circle had been created, the "plug" was Force Pushed off into the distance. Lyrica Essex climbed out first with the help of her master, Rowan Fel, whom was helped in turn. But, even in this galaxy, the old saying of hopping out of a frying pan only to fall into the fire holds true.

"Master..." Lyrica whispered. It had been she that had seen them first, approaching them with a gait made stiff with purpose. They looked like animals, predators, trying to stave off the urge to pounce. Fel moved an arm across her chest and secured her behind him. His lightsaber, which he hadn't bothered to deactivate, came up level to the face of the woman at the center of the quintet.

"I should have known that my scent would have lead you here, witch."

Wind blew around the five formes, womp rats scurried out, sniffing at them curiously, yet they remained still in their statuesque poses. Until suddenly they moved. Their sudden movement sent up clouds of dust, swirling in the wind, and sent the creatures scurying for cover. The five stood up as one as their gazes turned to the sky, to the listing star fortress far above them, where an escape pod, unseen but sensed, had just launched. As one, they launched into a run, the Force strengthening their strides into leaps over the hot sand. The Force had served them well. They didn't have far to go. Just over a kilometer away, they slowed as they saw the escape pod, saw the tips of the lightsabers cutting through. As one, they crouched and watched, then as one they stood and slowly walked forward. Hilts in hands, ten red blades ignited and they stepped foward to meet the two forms that had stepped out of the pod. Their predatory grins were hidden by their masked helmets, but their gait told of their purpose. They stopped as one, before the cyan blade.

"I should have known that my scent would have lead you here, witch."

The beam that erupted from the fortress above caught Cirsei and her twenty men's eyes. A terrifying sight indeed, but if anyone knew the Queen of the Krayt's Jaw Cartel, her reaction to fear was not run away, nor even be slightly unsettled; her reaction was anger. These soldiers had chosen to a position within the vanguard of the Coalition force, and when one of her men used a pair of binoculars to report that Thyssen and his team were sitting ducks in front of an overwhelming force of Zakuul Knights?

Well, she was livid.

Her short, red hair flowed in the Tatooine wind, framing piercing blue eyes that stared daggers -- extremely long daggers -- into the battlefield her right hand now found himself in. Cirsei put on the helmet that had been tucked under her arm, trading blue discs for a black visor, and growled into her integrated comm: "Let's back up your general, boys!"

Assorted "hoorahs" from the men, and Cirsei's platoon was off ahead of the rest of the main force. About one-hundred meters before Thyssen's position, Cirsei diverted seven of her men to a slew of natural cover, commanding them to cover Cirsei and her detachment. Luckily, Mister Krupp shared everything he knew of Zakuul with the rest of the Cartel; having been in direct contact with Knights before, they knew to aim their shots in spots that would be difficult for the Zakuulans to redirect back at the very people they were covering. Ducking their heads, the remaining thirteen soldiers and Cirsei found their way to cover with their comrades, the latter picking a spot right next to her second-in-command.

"Miss me?" Cirsei says as she ducks down with her back to a rock. Under his helmet, Thyssen smirks. "Ah, we had things handled! You look good with your boots on the ground though, boss."

Even if the comms weren't on, Thyssen would be able to tell she was laughing by the way she threw her head back wildly and arched her back. But as the laugh dissipated, he would be able to feel excitement bubbling up inside her, the grip on her rifle becoming tighter and her breathing becoming more intense. Thyssen seemed concerned: "You... alright there, boss?" When it very quickly reached its climax, Cirsei laughed once more:

"WAHAHA! I'm better than alright! I haven't been on a battlefield like this in years! Now, DIIIIIEEEE!"

As she heard a break in enemy attacks, Cirsei literally swung her body out of cover, coming with muscle-memory into a firing position and inspiring the rest to do the same. Brandishing her fully automatic assault rifle, she fired large burst-rounds of laser at her enemies with the rest of her men. Through their combined efforts and the use of their unified HUD network, Cirsei and Thyssen tagged enemies on their displays by firing at them, commanding their respective squads to focus-fire them and diverting few to covering their assault. In one push, they popped off five knights, and quickly receded back to cover once their deflection became too high of a risk.

"Woo! Not too shabby, huh, Wolfy?" Cirsei says with a satisfied sigh and a reloading of her weapon. Even under her helmet, her men could feel her smile contentedly. Unlike most of her days, which were spent in isolation at a terminal, hearing advisors and commanding from afar, this was a battle; not a war, but a battle.

She felt as alive as she used to.

Behind the skull-like visage of his own helmet, Thyssen couldn't help but grin as well. She may not've been Force-sensitive, but dammit if that woman didn't somehow possess the ability to inspire her troops like a certain Jedi of old! With his father's old blaster pistol raised high above his head, Thyssen stepped out from cover and shouted: "You heard the lady! It's about time we took our home back, don't you think?!"

(( I'd like to take a moment here to say "thank you" to @Seraphie for her help! She worked on this piece of script fiction as much as I did, meaning that it if weren't for her, this thread wouldn't have seen what you're all about to read next! ))

The camera comes in to an extreme close up of the one facing down the lightsaber, then pans back, until all five eerily still, masked women can be seen. A distinctly female voice comes through the helmet of the one facing down the lightsaber, "You owe us for the blood of a sister." For a moment, the camera shifts to show a close up of the face that spoke, dark within the masked helmet, other than the slightly red glow of the eyes that reflects upon the teeth bared in a predatory grin and gives a blood red hue to the darkness. The camera snaps back to Lyrica and Fel as the tone shifts, as if one can hear the grin right through the metal, "Perhaps we should simply take that one to replace our sister."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RrCmD4I8Gcc begins to play as a wind kicks up, sending small tails of sand dancing in the space between the five "sisters" and their prey. But of all those who look like they would be capable of making the first move, it's the girl, Lyrica, who sets everything into motion. She sidesteps out from underneath her Master's care and palm strikes the air in front of her as hard as her arms will allow. With a loud 'whoomph!' the sand in front of the Vilionnes explodes upward, creating a semi-translucent barrier that chokes the throat and stings the eyes. Fel is quick to follow his pupil's example, adding his own connection to the Force into the mix. But his target isn't the sand, rather it is the large outcropping of boulders that lay just yards behind the siblings. With their collective concentration hampered by the need to breathe, the Vilionnes don't recognize the real threat until it's almost too late.

"Now!" Fel instructs Lyrica. Together they drop their arms, brace, and then dash forward. At this point everything would transition into cinematic slow motion as the sisters' lightsabers spin into motion as one. The two closest to the oncoming duo attempt to impale them on their blades, while the remaining three whip around, swinging wildly in the process. In doing so they successfully manage to break through the boulder's mantle, rendering it useless as a projectile as it cracks apart in mid-air around them. Above them, through the innumerable gaps in the crumbling rock, are Fel and Lyrica. And then, with the sound of time catching up, everything reverts to normal speed. Fel and Lyrica use the momentum generated during their run to perform a 180 degree spin in the sand so that they were left facing their opponents once more. But now they had the advantage. Now, they had the high ground.

The sisters, snarling, bodies heaving with anger, all begin to screech like banshees. The ground around them quakes. Detritus rises a good foot or two into the air, held aloft by the uncontrollable rage that was now spilling from them like white water rapids. And then, with barely a millisecond separating their actions, they leap into the air with the intent of coming down on top of their quarry in the manner of arrows being delivered unto a legendary warrior expecting to die...

(( The rest of this exchange will occur in PMs between Seraphie and I. Once it's run its course, one of us will post it here in the forums for you all to read. I hope you've enjoyed this little interlude, and look forward to its conclusion! ))

Gabriel takes cover behind another rock after the beam blast hits the jundland wastes miles away "Cirsei, be advised, we have friendlies inside the shield generator! We're going to go in after them and we could use some covering fire!" He turns to his team who are firing at the hostiles "Ryshory! Lioma! I need you two to come with me into the shield generator! The rest of you continue as you were, but focus on the knights! Fall back if you have to!" He reloads his blaster rifle, and takes the two mercenaries into the shield generator, avoiding the blaster fire, while the others are busy with the knights.

Once inside, the three begin to follow the trail of dead skytroopers and soldiers until they're close to the reactor. "Watch the rear, Rhyshory." He activates the night vision feature in his helmet as the three continue on. One of the skytroopers grabs at Gabriel's leg, and he aims at it and blasts it in the head a few times, he then kicks it out of the way. He puts his prosthetic hand on the side of his helmet. "To anyone in the shield generator, you've got back up. Let me know where you want us."

Natsu'ryu hears the comm call and opens the channel and as he does he fires a special round from a tube under the repeater. there s an odd thromming sound and as the round speed towards zakuul knight the knight tris to force push it which causes it to explode sending a could of ballbarings towards the knight and the skytrooper near the knight and ending their attack. "Hey there we do be havin fun her and ye may want to come up behind us but not to close and do a pincher attack on any knights and troopers comin on us from behind." As he turns back towards his destination the reactor, and reactor control room.

(Adding a little more to make it easier for Karmic to find CAben)

Caben's group attempted to slow their approach as the Knights emerged, then the fierce storm of blaster-bolts from Krayt's Jaws' onslaught.  He was impressed to see a few Knights actually fall from the well-coordinated blaster fire- but then realized his forces were in trouble as the surviving Knights began an onslaught of well-aimed richochettes and Force blasts- a few of them imbued with the elemental fire many Zakuul Knights seemed to specialize in.

Two of his body guards fell back, hit, and then Caben felt his own swoop forced back by an invisible hand.  Struggling to roll with it, he banked hard to the right and commed his men to do the same- attempting to crash their bikes safely against a sand-dune and use them as cover.  Out of the corner of his eyes, he thought he saw some of Thy and Cirsei's forces also falling back, then all vanished in a puff of dust.

Thankfully not seriously harmed, Caben and his troops dub themselves off and peeked over the improvised barridade, hoping to spot Gorvan or @Karmic.  He quickly realized they had landed further out in front of the main forces than intended- and hoped they could connect with allies safely.

A lone Jawa ignored by all standing by its self wearing one of its races normal robe and with a pack on it's back much larger than one would think it should wear with odd tubes leading out of the pack and down it's arms to its hand. Sees a blasted hole in the side of the runs to the hole jabbering in it's races tough and laughing in an odd and scary way with a mad glint it its glowing eyes. As it runs through the passage was that have been blasted giggling and laughing it runs into a group of sky troopers with a  human leading them, the jawa throws two cylinders that them that explode one in a blue and purple blast of an ion grenade and the other in a sonic blast knocking the human out and the droids fall to the ground with electrical sparks jetting out of them. IT runs past Gabrial and says something tits tough and run on throwing some more grenades of different type at what ever it sees that is zakuulian and skytroopers.

As Natsu'ryu gets near the reactor control room connected tot eh reactor there is two squads of sky trooper before the door. At the sight of the Natsu and his squads they open up on them , several blasts hit Natsu's  left arm and burn though some of the armor leaving a nasty burn there, Natsu's group fires back with differetn weapons and two force users with them step up to help them get back around the corner, and as Natsu falls back he throws a double sized ion grenade in to the droids just after getting behind the corner the grenade goes off deactivating and even making some of the skytroopers to explode. One of the knights with them looks around the corner and nods to the team that is is ok to go forward. "Ok people set op some traps the other way and keep the way back open as we set this up." several of the troopers and a knight go down the hall a bit and star setting up traps to over their retreat. One of the troopers with field medic training helps Nastu remove some of the armor on the arm and placed a kolto pad over the wound and than binds it in place, and than puts some armor over it and puts the arm into a armored sling. than places the reapter in it hock on the armor.

When the troopers where about done a lone wee jawa come running up and starts to jabber something in its language. Natsu looks at it jabbering away and turns to the others "Do any of ye know what this guy is sayin? I do not understand it." every one of those with Natsu give him a blank look. "Ok wee one I think we are here to help but I have no idea what ye be sayin." As he is saying this he give a jawa a once over and sees the pack with tubes on it with an interested look but looks back at the people with him. "Ok some check this guy out and what he has there." A couple of the troopers star to get the door ready to open and nood to Nastsu when they where read. The trooper looks at Natsu, Hey this guy has a pack full of different kinds of explosives and grenades some of these I have never seen. O think he is one of those that are here to help us free this place." at this the sawa starts to nod it's head and jabber excitedly at this. "Ok people it istime to get through this door and we will be needin to send some sonic concussion grenades though before we be goin it so that any humans in there are knocked out but not tho damage the consuls in there."

As they line up on both sides of the door the jawa stand stand before the door with two spheres in its hands, "Some one get it out of the way." A trooper grabs the jawa that tries to struggle out of the troopers hand. Natsu raises one hand and counts down with three fingers and when he closes his fist they door opens and two silvery sonic grenades go sailing through the door and a split second later a few blaster bolts come out of the door than there is a sonci blast and no more bolts come out. Natsu lowers his closed fist and several troopers and a knight run into the room each doin in one side and the knight standing in the center. When no shots are fired Natsu enters the room and looks around there are several humans down and most of them looking like technicians from lack of weapons and the clothing they have on. Ok some of you take them out of the room and lest check the reactor. when no shoots are fired in the reactor room and the control room was cleared the troopers started setting up different satchel charges in different places and on the reactor coolant lines and one adds a special isotope to the reactor fuel that will add to the explosion when it has started a wild cat meltdown and fallowing explosion that will fallow. "Ok people lest set up some traps if this door is opened and pull out. When every one is out lest seal this door st up a few more traps and lest pull out ans the time on the explosives are ticking down.

The jawa nods it's head and jabbers something else as they start to retreat, and Natsu pulls out his heavy blaster pistol.

(( Gabe had originally intended to submit a reply, but after the brief exchange I had with Siv he was kind enough to let me go first. This won't be a very long post, mind you. Just somethin' to help spice everything up that much more! ))

"Sir?"

The voice of the ensign stirred the Argosy's captain, Lebbeus Cole, out of his stupor of concentration. He had been so focused on watching the Coalition's efforts to drain the Star Fortress' shields through sheer diligence that he had almost rendered himself def to his surroundings. Thus it was with a grunt of mild annoyance that he responded, "What?"

"We have incoming."

What?! Cole jumped out of his chair and hurried over to the ensign's console. Sure enough, there were at least two dozen Zakuul starfighters on a direct intercept course with the fleet.

"Where the hell did they come from?!"

"The planetary garrisons."

No, no, no, no, no! How could they have been so stupid?!

"Is that all of them?" Cole asked. The ensign shook his head. "No, sir. The rest are headed..."

"Evade, evade, evade!" The shout came from the pilot of one of the five starfighters that had accompanied Cirsei's dropship down to the surface. "Oh, you have got to be frakkin' kiddin' me!" The Zakuul ships came at them all like a swarm of angry insects, guns blazing. Sparks and tiny arcs of electricity leapt from the Specter's various consoles as the shields struggled to evenly distribute the impacts sustained to them. To their discredit, the maneuver wasn't executed flawlessly on Zakuul's part. Coming in so tightly grouped like they did, they left themselves vulnerable to the simultaneous counterattack that was unleashed upon them. Within seconds, they had lost almost a full quarter of their number. Not bad considering --

"I'm hit!"

The scream that came from one of the other Krayt pilots died with a burst of static and a muffled 'boom!' that Dilphi could feel reverberate through the hull. She cursed. Once they were clear of the swarm, the Specter and the four remaining Krayt fighters formed up and dropped low. If they were lucky, they would be able to trick the swarm's sensors long enough that they could use the surrounding terrain to maneuver around them. It was a gamble, but they didn't have any other options...

"Specter to Wolf!"

Thyssen, who had just finished dropping a Skytrooper to the sand with a well-placed shot to the area where its larynx would've been, ducked behind cover and touched a finger to the side of his helmet to complete the connection to the transport's communication. "Go for Wolf."

Dilphi's voice was latent with barely-suppressed panic. "We've got flyers, boss. Lots of 'em. A whole squadron, at least." Thyssen was silent for a few seconds as his brain tried to recalculate the probability of the mission's success with this unexpected addition. When he responded his voice was even, and his words taciturn. "Do what you can." "Understood." There was a click, and Dilphi was gone.

"I'll send my squadron down to help."

This voice belonged to the captain of a heavily modified freighter that flew in formation next to the Argosy, on her right-hand side. Rex (last name unknown) had become an honorary member of the Four Moons Mercenary Company after he had accepted a request to aid them in a trial by ordeal several years prior. Before the Eternal Empire made their intentions known to the rest of the galaxy, he had been in charge of a Robin Hood-like pirate operation that wasn't afraid to take on the likes of the Sith or the wider criminal underworld. But the Righteous Indignation and the small compliment of custom-built Shrike-class multi-purpose starfighters were all that remained. The Indignation was an unusual ship that had served Rex for the better part of a decade. The first thing that he had done upon acquiring it was replace the stock sensor array with a state of the art Planet Defender that could hull starships several times its size!

"Rex," Cole began, but his younger counterpart cut him off. "I know what I'm doing, Cole. You can't risk your jocks, but your boys and girls down there need all the aerospace support that they can get, so it's only logical that I be the one to up the ante. Besides, look around you! Even without fighter support of our own, we've got this." The man's enthusiasm seemed unwarranted, but it carried an infectious nature to it. Cole chuckled. "Understood. I'll pass the word along to those down on the surface. Wish 'em happy hunting for me." "Happy? Hah! Captain, my pilots are going to be ecstatic!"

Gabriel and his people walk down to the reactor after Natsu's team eliminates the people inside of the reactor room (but before they start setting up traps for the door) and is greeted with Natsu's people setting up the explosives "Get to work on assisting his people with the explosives, Lioma. We'll cover the entrance." He lowers his weapon to put his prosthetic hand on the side of his helmet again, as Lioma assists with the charges and Ryshory covers the reactor entrance. "We're arming the explosives now, Caben. How's it looking out there?"

Natsu nods to Gabriel, "We do be needin to be gettin out of here fast. Those explosives to be on a timer but there set up in a way that if the zakuul open the door or try to fiddle or disarm them they'll go off all of them. So lest double time it out of here." He turns to one of the trooper "Ye need to be gettin Caben on the horn and let him know that we do be headin out and that he may want to be gettin away from this place for when it do be goin up will will be a big one." As Nastu says this a big evil grin splits his face and you can see his nice sharp predator teeth that do give many races the heebeegeebees.

As the team double times with out with Gabriel the wee jawa is running full out with them and laughing at the fun it has had this day

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As they are running out N'gima get the message he has been waiting for from Natsu's group, and sends a hypercomm to Hime_Ryoko "The will be needing ye now so get in he with those transports."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hime_Ryoko a Je'daii that works with N'gima get the message and and activates the comm board for the combat freighters and and the larger troop transport all heavely modded from what they where. There where two Lethisk-class armed freighter that hard 2 laser canons two quad canons and two light concussion missiles launchers, with two XS freighters that have two quad canons, two dual laser canons, and one verpine light rail canon that fires 3 lb slugs. The freighters all all part of N'gima's business and use for protection when going on more dangerous runs and weapons transporting. The troop transport has only 6 quad canons so it needs the cover of other ships. The Freighters and transport star heading down to pick up the ground forces to get them clear of the blast zone of the shield bunker when it goes off. "Ok people where heading in hard and fast and lest keep any fighters off the transport." and Hime says this she slips into the force and lets it guide her actions. She also comes the joint fleet attacking the fortress in space we are coming in and going do to pick up the troops there, and I hope to see ye'll att he party when this is done." As she is saying this the freighters and transport start to enter the atmosphere of the planet doing a fast entrance to get to the landing zone fast. As they enter the plasma from the reentry of the planet reflects off of the cybernetics a eye patch the covers her missing left eye and the cybernetics around what was left of her left eye.
