    Wanted to bump this up on the recent post list.  Still just at three rooms.  Tomorrow is when I am calling the hotel so if anyone is looking to get a room please let me know today.

    The hotel we are booking at is right across the street from geek out and the cheapest we found in the area.   Look forward to seeing everyone!  Just a few more weeks.

    Alright, folks, the time is drawing near!

    For those of you who are coming to Geek Out 2013, I'm sure you are aware that Denver is a Mile High.  What that means is the potential for altitude sickness.  I have had it, and I have seen it in others.  It is not fun.

    In order to prevent this, you all need to be drinking water.  Starting now.  Lots of it.  By the time you get on the plane or into your cars you should be peeing clear. 

    In addition to the potential for feeling like crap, please be aware that your alcohol tolerance will be severely reduced at high altitude.  Pace yourself, if you plan to drink, and make sure you eat something!

    As a visitor to Denver many times in the past for family vacations, Cali is absolutely in the right on this. I've had altitude sickness on a previous visit. It's as bad as food poisoning, and you'll want to enjoy your time there, brief as it might be. If you don't drink a lot of water, you should start guzzling it down right now, as though your health and well-being depend on it. (Which you should be doing anyway, but especially for this visit.)

    Sciran, I do hope you'll have plenty of water on hand for us at the Geek Out, as I tend to drink a lot of it anyway. Having oodles of it within easy reach will help us hydrate properly while we're there.
