Alys does not currently allow anyone to call her 'Legs', but likes it when they try.

Well, our discussions take place right outside the temple, and you can create a character and come join in without doinng a single quest on Tython.

Though I don't think I will take part in this aspect, I am curious is anything has come of the Jedi Strikeforce idea that kicked this off?

*mumbles* Aiden and Alys convinced me to try the game....so I spent some of my bonus to get it >__>  I'll give it a shot this weekend ^___^

I'm pretty sure I was telling you that getting it was a bad idea. Admittedly, I said that after telling you how great is and how you would love it. ^^

I'm debating creating a guild just to give all the BC players a place to chat (possibly IC'ly) while they are in game, nothing serous - if you are all interested?

There's no reason not to create one. Call it Begeren Cantina or something (has to have BC as the short tag) and we can use it as a short-term thing.

I'm glad to see that they've cleared up a lot of the problems I'd experienced earlier when it came to playing with specific party members. Last night we were almost always dumped into the same Overflow, and when we weren't the Join In function worked. The only exception seemed to be when one of us wasn't able to turn in the last step of a Personal Story quest.

Although it would be fun to see a Sith propaganda poster of Satele Shan killing puppies.

But you'd need a corresponding one of Malgus endorsing puppies, and that I just can't see.

Introductions / Re: Maxari and friends standing by. (OOC)

Hey Maxari! It would be great to see you in the RP scene more.

If you and your friend intend to continue teaming through the course of the game, then a tank/healer combo ought to serve you will, but really with two PCs and two companions. you ought to be able to tackle most anything short of a Heroic 4.

Quick, attack that centaur! No, the other one. Use your heal skill! Gah, you're doing it wrong!

One contribution to the poor represntation of Jedi in some people's RP is that some people who play Jedi just don't care about Jedi that much. Orell is clearly very passionate about the Jedi, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's helped make Shaantil such a great character.

I, on the other hand, have had my love for Star Wars completely broken by George Lucas. I don't even want to watch the good movies anymore, which really saddens me. But when I heard that Bioware was making an MMO, that I wanted a piece of. So I didn't give any thought to what the Jedi are like and how that would shape Alys. I figured out who Alys was first, and then decided from there what the Jedi are like (let's be clear, I decided that they are nothing like Alys). And what Satele and Company are like during the class stories don't matter because Alys isn't living those stories.

As I recall, the first time Shaantil and Alys met, they got into a disagreement about the Jedi, but in the end just decided that they were dealing with different parts of the Order. And I would like that option to continue in the face of this attempt to define what the Order is really like.

ETA: This game has actually restored some of my interest in Star Wars, which nothing else has managed since the Taratovsky Clone Wars cartoon. I even went back and read the plot summaries of KOTOR 1&2 so I understood this game better. And no, don't tell me to go back and actually play them. That would cut into my time with this game. ^^

The game is designed to include Guesting, where you can join your friends and play with them on any server. It won't be in for launch, but even if people do end up scattered due to other friends going. "But I already picked this server..."it will only be temporary.

Still, Tarnished Coast seems like the way to go if you have a choice.

Holocrons and Info Nodes / Re: Rough cut Jade.

Alys takes a few minutes to familiarize herself with the Jaded Dream's controls, then clears everyone out of the cockpit. "I have to focus my Sight on what I'm doing and I can't have stray auras interfering."

Taking off is easier than landing, and the Force is able to guide her through the worst parts of the storm, and she has enough extra concentration to fire off a message to Saura Colton with faith that it won't be neglected for long.

"Hey hon. I got pulled into this mission to rescue Jaade on Hoth and... we failed. The shuttle delivering him to the planet was shot down by Gammoreans, and then another ship came down that took him from them. Graal got close enough to positively ID him, but we couldn't reach him in time. Anyway, based on the information we had, it sounds like some top-notch slicers have been working on this, so I just assume you're involved. We'll have a talk later about keeping me out of the loop. Also, I'm flying the Jaded Dream right now. Please call me back soon if you've got any suggestions on what I should do with it."

Saura does not disappoint her. "Is that the Force guiding your intuition, or do you just have that much faith in me?"

"Maybe the former, but it's nicer if I say the latter, isn't it?"

"It's true, I've been helping Graal piece together what's going on with Jaade. I didn't know you were involved in this, though. If I had, you know I wouldn't have kept you out of the loop."

"It's okay, I'm used to it. You can fill me in on the details of how brilliant you were later."

"As for what to do with the Jaded Dream, I spoke with Jace and Seiyd. They said to park it in docking bay 1425 on Carrick Station, to be held until Jaade's return. If anyone needs access to it, they can contact Seiyd's cousin, "

"Got it. I'll drop everyone off on Nar Shaddaa, then bring in the Dream."

"Thank you for keeping me updated, love. Let me know when you're back on Carrick."

"Will do, but I'm afraid I can't stay. Master wants me back at the Enclave tonight, but I'll see you again soon. Love you. bunches. Too bad we had to break up because the Jedi Council would not approve." The last line is said in such a bland tone as to rob it of all sincerity.

After programming the jump to Nar Shaddaa, she takes a few minutes to slice the ship's security and change all the codes. When the Dream arrives at Nar Shaddaa, she ushers everyone off. "The Smuggler's Coalition has claimed the Jaded Dream until her owner takes her back. But to Graal, she offers a ride to Carrick Station. "If you feel you deserve something for recovering the ship, I'll back your claim, and once I drop it off I'll take you wherever you want. You've worked too hard on this and you don't deserve to be stranded."

((Graal, if you still want the ship, feel free to steal it back.))

Not sure if I'll make it, or even if I qualify, but as a topic of discussion, what about Friendly Social Relations with the Sith? (i.e. cantina RP) The threat of temptation vs. the chance of redemption.  I'd be curious to see the 'traditional' crowd discuss that.

I don't recall much hilarity from my first experience role playing with Rainen (how's the hand? ^^ ) but it was definitely fun. Welcome to the forums!

Jade, I wanted to let you know that I will be there tomorrow.  I will be on Calias, and arriving with Sciran (assuming he can make it.)  Looking forward to this!

Oh good, Alys needed to talk with Cali too. Everything's going perfectly, except for the part where I have to be on Hoth with Gammoreans.

First of all, Sciran, thank you for moderating the discussion. Given how the chatroom usually is,and glancing at the Chatroom Contents widget shortly before going to bed Monday night, I worried that things would be too crazy to work. Instead, it was quite easy to follow.

Thanks also for posting the log. If people are going to be airing grievances, it's important that the whole community get to see it. The whole thing with the 16th came as a complete surprise. And discussion isn't limited to the round table. Anything raised can be spun into a topic on the forum, like Shaantil did with her discussion on the Jedi Council.
