True heavy RP, meaning not a light or medium RP guild that is self titled heavy. IC chat channels are a plus. Prefer to be in an environment with other veteran RP'ers or those who at least know the ropes. Not trying to sound elitist here, and believe me, I am far from an elitist.. but I am just tired of being around all the guilds that have a 4:1 ratio of newbie RP'ers vs Vets.

I have no problem teaching a few newbies how to up their RP, but not trying to be the professor in a classroom full of students is the point I am getting at (and that is sadly most of the RP guilds I ran into in game).

I have two different characters that may fit into your guild:

Lulany Sharpe
A female Chiss handyman (handywoman?) who will do anything you want if you have the credits, be it build you a shelf... be a bodyguard... or "personal evening company". She has VERY, VERY, -VERY- low skills in all of the trades except for medical, which she tends to specialize in. She studied a bit more in Medical because she thought it would be easy since the little droids seem to do all the work for you.

Daemun (AKA) Justice Ghost
A blind (Miraluka) Jedi. Though he doesn't know that he is a Jedi... He simply has a strong sense for justice and protection of the innocents. He thinks that the Force powers he uses comes from his strong sense of justice, which he uses to defeat the criminals of the galaxies. In short, Daemun truly believes that he is a Super Hero, not just another Jedi.

Heh. "Elitist" is just another word for "standards"

But now that I've hit my cheeky smugness quota for the day...

You might want to consider Tretarkii Syndicate for your Chiss, assuming the character is Imperial. I don't think they have an IC channel specifically (not many guilds do, in my experience), but they're good peeps and fit a lot of fringer/criminal/freelancer archetypes.

If you're Repub, Smuggler's Coalition fills a similar role.

Welcome!

In any game, you're bound to see a majority of new RPers, the same say you see a majority of new healers or new PvPers. But inexperience isn't always what bugs a person. Standards can be good or bad, depending on how far you take them.

I'm glad to see that you decided to give the community a chance! :-)

Welcome to BC! There are quite a few guilds that fit your needs here on our server, a couple of which have already been mentioned. Here's hoping you find what you're looking for and enjoy your time on our server, however long or short.

Haven't received any actual guild invitations yet. Still looking for one. No PM's either. Meaning both of my characters are still up for grabs for any guilds that may want to have fun with them. Though it seems like this is a bust. I am disappointed

It's more about being active in pursuing guilds. I've found that in most MMO's I've played, RP guilds, especially heavy RP ones, tend to announce that they're recruiting, but wait to see who becomes interested. If you want to join one, find one you like, then pursue it.

I agree with Taelyn, many true heavy RP guilds do a sort of IC screening to see if the player is at least serious about Roleplaying and not a 'casual' RP'er.

More often than not you have to talk to them, rather than the other way around... If I were you, I'd get into the Begeren Colony Raidcall (even if you don't have a mic) and talk to people. If you can happen across a guild leader, a short conversation with them should get you where you want to be :)

Another thing, if you go and click on the Guildnet button here on the site, I can say that nearly all of them are true heavy RP guilds.

I"d suggest get your characters out there, get them out to as many of the events you see over on the calendar as possible as its a great way to have your character start interacting with the people who's guilds you're interested in - as well as letting yourself get a feel for guild members to see where YOU feel you'd fit best.  Its a two way street after all!  They have to match up with the feel you're wanting from your guild as well! :)

So come on over to events and mingle, or just hang back and listen as people interact.  You'll get a good list of guild names from our guild forums/guild net here and then see if any of their members are out and about at the events for you to strike up a conversation (either IC or even OOC to ask about their guild).
